This set of stems from TheDICE was perfect for the remix I wanted to do: thumpy bass, kick-chest drums, growl-y rhythm guitar, moody synth. And a lovely arrangement.

The chord progression (root chord Am, right?) and the word “fortune”, made me think of Deep Purple’s “Soldier of Fortune”. Nothing I can compose can come close to that classic work. To title this “Soldier of Fortune II” would be presumptious. So I opted for the first line of their rock anthem and gave it a post-rock treatment. Hope you enjoy this remix and the additional stems.

I used all of the original stems almost intact: bass, choir, delayguitar, drums, mguitar, pad.mp, powerchords.

My contribution to this are the simple lead guitar tracks.
