Morusque was my Behind the Mask assignment. At first I was trying to mash the organ sample I use here with the samples in “260809 Funky Nurykabe” but it just didn’t work out. So the bed tracks became two and this is what organically grew out of that.

One of the guitar tones I use was “Smells Like Teen Spirit” on the pocket pod. Hence the title.

I started working Panu into the mix thinking he might be stood up. Wow, was I wrong—Morusque’s mix is a mind-bender for sure.

Panu’s poems and word choice are very visual earthy and surreal. They make for great repeat listens!

(Special Treat: Snowflake makes a guest apprearance with background harmonies, as does Anchor Mejans singing along with Panu.)

I thought twice about uploading this just ‘cuz Panu’s Instructions is such a scary huge track.

I offer it in context that there is some strange connection we all share, even if we don’t know what that is exactly. (maybe the connection is that mixters see things differently than most ;-)
