Moira Waugh - Hey, Mr. Sun (Album Version)
Hey, Mr. Sun – the first tunes appear and you might think „G&T on a roof terrasse now“ or you simply would like to enjoy the sun. Well, you can do so. But listen carefully. It sounds as if Moira flirts with Mr. Sun but case is the opposite.
Nothing else but the sun to dissapear from her face. She is pretty clear with her request. Using her sweetest voice she demands: „Stop smiling down on me cause I want to make the most of the tragedy of him leaving me“. The Backtrack is quoting the good old 80s and 90s jazzy tracks from Mat Bianco and Sade. The Saxophone representing Mr. Sun trying to flirt with Moira but she is pretty resistant and doobidoohs Mr. Sun away. Oh how could the root of the problem (the man) just let her go – this charming girl (NOT?). Superb British sarkasm packed into a soft jazzy easy to digest dress.
