This song is based on a true story — a real life waking dream encounter with a blue dragonfly. We typically don’t get blue dragonflies where I live. When we do get them, we get the big red ones with unmistakable faces who hang out by the fish pond over the summer. This year however, the drought really seems to have an impact on the dragonflies. I have seen only one red dragonfly in the garden the entire summer.

This is a headphone mix because I live with Haskel and I didn’t want him to hear what I did with his Shimmer guitars which include chopping them up, reversing things here an there, and moving things around a bit. (Not surprisingly, he was assigned me last secret mixter. You can’t make these things up.)

I added drum loops, singing bowls, bass and vocals. Instruments are tuned to A=432hz to match the singing bowls.
