With Unreal DM and Stefsax as the band and Diaphane on backing vocals, there isn’t much that can go wrong with this song - apart from the singer.

I see you live in the suburbs
When you told me suburbanites were nuts
I see you’re living beyond your means
When you told me you were going to live on a kibbutz
I see you eat canapes when I heard you say
They gave you a pain in the guts

I see you’re trying to fit in
When you told me you hate to conform
I see you think you are what you own
When you told me you’re a war with the norm
I see you bought some prime real estate
On a site you told me had no charm

Long time no see
Long time no see
Well I saw you but you didn’t see me

I see your watch is a work of art
But I doubt you could spare me a minute
I see you’re high on the dream house you bought
And everything you put in it
I see the crowd you reviled as kitsch
Has bewitched your planet

I see you live in the bubble
You told me you were trying to burst
I see you’re bored by the troubled
And those that may need to be nursed
I see the people you once told me were the worst
You now look to first

Long time no see
Long time no see
Well I saw you but you didn’t see me

I see you went in for marriage
When you told me you weren’t a fan
I see you’ve got three kids
When you told me chastity was your plan
I see you’re showing off your husband
When you told me you’d never be with a man
