“A man doesn’t know what happiness is until he’s married. By then it’s too late.” —Frank Sinatra.
Thoughts on the tied knots In the hours that tumble the truth it is fumbled The words are infected and the visions are blurred The kings fear the princes, their offers are rescinded They cling to their crowns but they look so absurd. Time is taking their joy Ripping up the pages of the facts Taking everything thats not tied down Never looking back On the streets love is fractured its broken then captured By men who are bitter and women who stare Their faces tell stories of power and glory But wisdom lies bleeding and nobody cares Its a real misdemeanor though nobodies seen her Since she offered her promise to divulge the facts He offered to help her protect and to take care But it all came to nothing she just got backtracked Time is taking their joy Ripping up the pages of the facts Taking everything thats not tied down Never looking back He had spoke of her beauty its violence and cruelty How good came to nothing though nothing was fine Perfection and shadows making way for tomorrow The truth is she folded in the nick of time
