We are led to believe that Western news channels report the truth and reflect what is happening in the world. But the news is always so sad. Nearly every story is a tale of woe, of conflict and strife. The presenters occasionally regale us with some lighter stuff but mainly the programmes are full of doom and despondency. If it is true then we are surely living in a dark sad place.

The music is a tonal work amongst which notes may be found to cheer the spirit. The poem is another fine example of the work of Silkwords
