I love the enthusiasm for Black Lives Matter. But we have been here many times before.
Thanks to the ladies for some great vocals. We are so magnificent crawling from the shadows of our past Marching to beats made from bondage beats we made to last From human pain some hope we gained a little bit of texture for our lives Scars from stones and broken bones everybody’s having a good time From the dark dark night a light will shine guiding us to freedom from despair Players in their place time to start the race hope is in the air Sallys in the kitchen masters in the hall food is on the table welcome all Pull yourself a chair we’re gonna have a ball everyones a winner on the outside Serenade the beauty who brought the news everymans a free man nothing now to loose Open up the history books we’re still confused someone got arrested for his dark skin People are still marching like they did in 62 carrying the placards with a point of view That many still contend is not the thing to do history keeps arriving on the doorstep
