Bruce Gilden is an American photographer who stalks the streets of New York City sticking his camera in the faces of the unsuspecting with one hand and lighting them up with his flash in the other.
Oh and the mouth trumpet intro? Why not!! I’m talking to strangers as I walk these streets Trying to find out if we really are complete Or just survivors on the highway to defeat I’ll chase the cobwebs from your memories Oh you are suspicious can’t blame you for that I once had tricked you to keep my life on track And now you say its no good looking back Tomorrow we will smile and call for answers I was the apprentice who mixed the oils And you the artist whose brush strokes would be spoiled By my cold actions to get your new plans foiled Its my illusions you were chasing I’m dancing demons from the souls of my feet Sweating pure pearls as I haunt the crowded streets Flashing indecently so your skin starts to creep Is it something I am doing Hands up I’m guilty but guilt is just despair The way you look encourages the styling of your hair And I’m envious of the crazy clothes you wear Call me shallow I won’t mind that
