EDIT: I have changed the lyrics slightly and also added a new/definitive vocal track to the downloads (vox_take6_final).
*** Wrote this Dark-Age Blues song today, so this is a first draft and I may add more—perhaps a chorus. I may also redo the vocals. Meanwhile I’ll add the live stems. The song is inspired by a 10th-Century Saxon poem called “The Wanderer”. I’ll paste lyrics below: WANDERER No abode Bleak is the road Burdened by a load I’m bearing all alone * Middle Earth For what it’s worth Falls into decay We lost our sacred way * Therefore Man Cannott be wise Till Sixty-thousand suns Rise and set in his eyes * Fame and friends Pass fleetingly Exiled memories Fly over ice-cold seas * Wanderer Striding thru tears Battle-weary years Have claimed/devoured/consumed kinsfolk dear *
