I heard magmavander’s lovely, cool mix of SackJo’s ‘Choices May Change’ found here http://ccmixter.org/files/m... and knew I wanted to do something to the backing track, which magmavander very kindly uploaded separately.

The words are inspired by a dinner party I went to a while back. About two-thirds of the way through the evening, I found myself stuck at a corner of the table with three men talking about quantity surveying. At the other end of the table, the women were discussing a different subject. I saw one of them mouth the words (very appropriately) ‘oral sex’ and they all looked at each other significantly. I promptly moved up-table.

If he’s out of small talk, I’ve got masses to say
Is he really this implausibly cool?
Or a luscious, brown, six foot fool?
Or a machine running low on fuel?
Or a heartless bastard being cruel?
Look at me, he’s got me all trembling and breathy
Weak with emotion, no logical thought, I’m not dissembling
Oh I’m stumped by him, I simply cannot make him out
But I know I’m perilously close to giving him a clout
