I made a remix to a song, just an instrumental. Should i be able upload this, as i have used no samples from the original piece?

If your track includes no samples (either instrumental or vocal), then you cannot upload it as a remix. However, you can share your track by uploading it as a sample for the sample pool to be remixed.
