I think this is GORGEOUS (and not just the bits I did!)

It really lifts and brings alive my version, but it’s still in the same spirit. I love the voice stuff (how do you do that??) and all the new material. If it was on a CD I’d pay good money for it.

Hope you’ll feel like doing more remixed remixes - I think we make a good combination.

Cool, glad you liked it, for you there’s no charge ;) I started with the elements I liked best and then went crazy! hehe

The vocal tricks were done with Voice Machine, which I wouldn’t recommend (and Steinberg have pulled it). It creates something you have to work hard to correct, so I’ve only ever used it in the past for Daleks and Robots!

Basically it works like a vocoder, and re-pitches based on a carrier.

It’s absolutely not a good idea to use it on main vocal or equal-balanced harmonies, it sounds like a 4-bit recording!

I’ve found some new VSTs for vocals recently which I’ve yet to install and learn. I’ll post these into the VST forum, and continue the vocal thread randomdots started :)

So very cool!

Totally relaxed, but never boring; interesting, but never overdone; well thought out structure, yet never artificial; modern, yet destined to become a ccMixter classic — at least for me. :-)
