This is an effective mix of prog rock guitar elements, spoken narrative, ambient electronica, and just weird sounds. Nice mix.

Awesome feel to this - unusual for ccMixter, which makes it all the better! The chord progressions at first are a tiny bit repetitive, but the guitar work is stellar and the mix is very, very good. The spoken-word is processed fantastically and there’s a great vibe in that “b” section where’s it duckett speaking. Great work here - a pleasure to listen to!

Thanks! You’re probably right about the repetitive nature of the first part’s chord progressions. I have toned down on the delay on Duckett’s voice after FB commented on it, and I think that it turned out for the better.

I also remember King Crimson. Loved the mix — a real treat. Awesome guitar sound. Thanks!

And thank you for visiting and commenting. King Crimson is one of my favourites and I know that FB is also an admirer.

oh Sub, my Sub. this is outdamnstanding! for a moment i thought you’d sold your soul at the crossroads and in return were able to play like Satch & David Gilmour (with decent tone!). but you subbed that out to two great players who made the trip long ago.
REALLY liked this.

Ha ha ha, selling my soul wouldn’t be enough to gain the talent these guys have (both Satch & Dave and Edwin & FB). Thank you for your kind words.

Wow, great . And loud guitars are not generally my thing but this is a nice exception!

Always good to read that something one was a part of was a nice exception. Thanks!

Thanks sub, for considering me for this song. I really like the mix. Glad you could use some of the extra weirdness I sent your way.

Great combination of talents.

You cannot beat a loud guitar and here we are spoilt for choice.

Wonderful work!

Thanks RT! This means a lot coming from a man with so many talents. Every now and then I need some loud guitars and thank goodness I know a couple of guys who can deliver that. So all praise to them.

This is great Sub. I like it when the word “more_” is used as a tag. You guys nailed it.

Thank you very much, Scomber. Just a question of teaming up with people who are more talented than I am. More guitar, less Sub, that’s my advice.

Talk about a split personality track for me - I the spoken word section is just about as good as anything I have heard anywhere; whereas the guitar section doesn’t work for me the same way.

But I will repeat that middle section over and over for the next little while.

I don’t know if I would have been so generous with a track that I only liked partially, so your thumbs up are very much appreciated. I am going to upload a sample pack (as requested by Scomber) of this remix, so maybe there is something in there for you to work with.

wow-this is incredible—-excellent work by the troops youve called in and expertly pulled together by you. Took me by surprise on ccM but knowing a bit about our tastes from other sites this fits you perfectly. Very very well done Sub

Thank you very much, AT. You know, I never could have created such a piece without the contributions of others. I guess that’s the beauty of collaborations in general and ccMixter in particular. Glad you liked it.

Rock-opera-tastic Sub. Nice to see your talents in a different context. I’m a fan of this pella too so that’s double to enjoyment.

Great blend of drums and synthy guitar work, very lively and full of variety (I mean who doesn’t love a good guitar solo?)…

Hey Scott, thanks! I am thinking about doing one or two more in this direction. There is an old song of mine that could do with a new treatment.
