Super smooth, I like how well you mixed the vocals in with that funky groove!

Thank you for including me in this remix :)

Wow, didn’t see (hear?) that coming… How *do* you do it? Nice!

You’ve tapped some circle-of-fifths modal magic (like…CM and Am *are* related, but..?) that wholly escapes me. It’s akin to the blues-harpist’s nightmare of stumbling around on stage knowing he’s picked up the wrong key harp but the band’s too far gone down the changes for him to find the right one now, so he’s praying for the bridge or a solo or even a conveniently thrown bottle to save face…and then somehow it’s OK. And once in a great while, it’s way more than that!

“How *do* you do it?”
It must be because I’m not bound by knowledge. Having no musical education I’m stuck with “if it feels good it is good” (was it Louis Armstrong who said that?).
I like your harpist’s nightmare analogy. I tried and failed to add a harmonica to this mix.

OK, I had to go back and try this. AB’s track is a solid A blues, so I just followed the band. I chose a Marine Band D harp and crossed down (you could also slant up from G). Felt good to me.

It was important to pay no attention to the vocalist’s key, which is in an adjacent universe :-)
