i really like your vocals, all of them….i#m just wondering: do you sing to music or do you record them plain acapella?….i’m having a bit of a problem matching music to them…

I sing to myself in the car, playing percussion with the steering wheel and my voice as much as possible without crashing….then at night when people go to sleep, I make refinements to the lyrics and record with click only….maybe if you describe the challenging part I can do something to address it. I’d be happy to; it’s a thrill to hear people make something new/more out of my music. I could post a stereo track with click pan left and vocal pan right, for example. Thanks for listening….. .. .

what’s funny about that is that I was dying to reply to DU’s message "dude he’s singing in the car" and then I thought "better of it" ;)

well, i read the part about the car, but i thought maybe that´s where the ideas come and then there’s some recordingsession later on…just the way it apparently is….;-)…i can sync it to the beat, it´s more about the tuning….

all the more reason (for once) for my so-called discretion.

These types of vocals (as I ran into with Transported) are perfect candidates for Antares auto-tune — I just didn’t get to it on that remix.

and radum: yea, by all means, split click/vocals are welcome any time.

Thanks for uploading all these pells!

Hey…glad you all can make some use of the vocals…I think I will try to adjust my practices a bit: maybe take a reference pitch when I start to make sure I’m not between notes on the chromatic scale…in my head on these tunes there actually are chord progressions; it’s just that that’s the slowest part for me to execute…I could try to figure out the basic "relative" chord structure (at least as I hear it), and then make sure I’m not in the key of C flat or something….I will eventually tackle the backing music for these….I have a desire to be a singer-songwriter, but I’m pretty weak on instruments….since I’m "better" working with computers than building fine motor instrumentalist chops, my thinking is get good at the software and make that the instrument…still working on it…thanks again for listening…let me know if I can help with retakes, expansions, lyrical changes (these are less than a day old after all - hardly fully baked), etc…… .. .

FYI - I did a moderate lyric rewrite on this and rerecorded it tonight. I want this song to be a seduction from one lover to another that is very sexy but not completely over the obscenity line (not that there’s anything wrong with that ;), and I think the lyric rewrite helps that goal.

Like I’ve said before, if anyone wants to work with the vocals and you need me to do a retake or you need some changes, let me know. I’d be happy to collaborate.

The good old fashioned r and b sounds. Thanks.

I’ve been working with this song in my sampler, and it’s fun to just set up some minor effects and let your voice do all the talking. The refrain sounds great on this song.
