There’s probably a lot I could say about this but the best thing I could say is … yea.. I know how you feel.

Nice work RT, and as for Mr. G, let’s just hope he fares better than he did at the Golden Globes :-). It is an honor to be part of anything done in tribute to a man who has caused more trouble in my life than perhaps any other human being :-).

Nice angst rework of this very nice Marshpeople track.

Lets debunk the Myth here that MR Gabriel wrote the music to Wall E. He did a song in the film but i believe the real talent is Thomas Newman who has created many beautiful scores for films Like Road to Perdition and The Green Mile. If you dont have a ticket for the ball go with someone who does.

Anyway nice tune Mr RT but no oscar :-(

I was curious so I just checked the Oscar Nomination page. Newman is nominated for the score and Newman and Gabriel are nominated jointly for the song.

Seems they are giving credit where credit is due.

Newman is a marvellous talent and yes without him PG would probably have not got a sniff! I read it was Newman’s idea to use Gabriel. But whatever, he co wrote what is a nice catchy pop tune and right up Disneys street!

The real travesty in all of this is that only 3 songs were nominated for this years Oscars and Springsteens heartbreakingly beautiful song was ignored. At least the Golden Globes got it right but who remembers them?

Nice work RT! Bit strange hearing one of me own played around with but sounds great!

Would echo LS’s comments regarding the great PG. I hope he does get the award but being a big fan of soundtracks, it’s good to give Thomas Newman the proper credit. Meet Joe Black being one of my favourites of his. That’s it - geek fest over.

This is exactly the type of thing I’d expect to hear on ‘Elephants of the Wild do the craziest thing’… Don’t know why.

The guitar thing is not doing it for me. The rest though, is classic RT and exactly why I keep stopping by to hear your eclectic music.

(The pad’s with the beat and esseq is my clear favourite part and when you come in, bloody brill).

You going to post a vocal or what?

Elephants of the wild!? I was thinking more sloth up a tree!

As to the guitar well as we are coming up to the 50th anniversary of Buddy Holleys death I got the strat out for a clean and polish. Donning my best thick rimmed glasses I paraded around the house performing accapella and thin tinny unplugged guitar versions of BH’s songs. My family went out for the day!

nice job. i really liked the pacing here. nothing seems rushed. nice job with the guitar additions too. the Gilmour-like guitar and your vocal additions really add a nice pink floyd vibe to this.
