Ok…sorry Gurd, but I have to part with you on this one. This is AWESOME! I absolutely LOVE the vibe here. It’s so hard to tame this song with these lyrics, and you have done it mof. I love it. The fact that the vocals are less ‘up front’ actually works to subdue this song and put it in the same vibe as the melancholy chords. I love it. One of my fave’s.

I appreciate the feedback everyone. I’m working on some new ideas but I might come back to this one and add to it later.

though it’s simplistic and there are better remixes production wize; out of all the remixes, this one stays in your head. I see Y it’s an editor’s pick and possibly…. the winner?

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll probably be keeping the beat for something else. I had another approach to the vocal, so maybe I’ll take your advice and work on the other one. -peace

A different idea—to soften this and make it more melodic. I like the melody pretty well. In fact, I like the melody a lot.

The voice sounds too subdued, and even the melody is a bit quiet for my taste.

The melody should be in service of a different vocal, or should be an instrumental chill. It’s not working for me as “Remember the Name”. But it’s not a bad mix, certainly not a “1” mix. It’s an interesting treatment that doesn’t quite work.

These particular lyrics just don’t do this track justice. This track needs something more soulful IMO. Just too sweet of a track, hopefully the instrumental will appear soon.

I’m really feeling this. It’s not my fav I’ve heard, but its definatly up there. It’s a good change of the feel of the song. I’d like to listen to just the instrumental well. Kinda reminds me of “Samurai Champloo” Soundtrack. Not sure if you ever heard that music, but if this is your style you should check it out.

Very nice work.

Only thing that would make this a “HIT” is a girl singing catchy hook during the chorus.
