Definitely different vibe than most — interesting too! Hopefully you make more like this.

Thanks, I have a lot of ideas to experiment with. And OBVIOUSLY lots of source material.

I love the music (and wish it was louder).

I hate (not really hate but I’m staying on theme) when vocals are fx’d to the point of not being understandable (unless they’re not meant to be).

I don’t mean that to be discouraging, rather the opposite. I’m intrigued by your creative concept and look forward to whatever you may offer next.

Thanks! And hey, I understand the line I am walking here. I have this belief that the best music is confusing. I.E. If it you could completely understand it then it would be boring. I thought this was a good first attempt since people would be likely to know the source and therefor have more clues what is being said. But it is not for most people.

By louder, do you mean the sax(es) or the over all mix? Can I remix it and reupload the new files?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for walking the line. Weird and scary were the two most used words in comments on my earlier mixes. (Though that was never my intention, and I’ve since either gotten less weird or people have gotten more acclimated to it, probably some of both.) And The Ill-tempered Sax also featured prominently in my first mix here. (I’m suggesting we may have similar tastes.)

By louder I meant more in line with the volume of the vocals. I know this is all somewhat subjective but it seemed to me the vocals were in the foreground and the music was way in the background.

I’m not encouraging a redo but yes, you can always replace a file (go to Manage Files on the song page).

And mostly - Welcome.

Lol, thanks! I’ve been a CCMixter listener for quite a while and I have enjoyed your work. It only just occurred to me that I could also, y’know, participate. :)

hey Sobo thanks for remixing me and welcome to ccmixter,,,Cant believe my daughter is nearly 18 now and her voice has deepened quite a lot lol.
Always makes me smile listening to this again. Dont bother re doing unless you want to. ccm is the kind of site where its best to run around the neighbourhood totally naked and exposed. Being authentic and yourself brings creative freedom. Shit to some ears is like gold to others. -Keep remixing. I like where you are heading

Hey, thanks for the encouragement. I’m a big fan of yours. I used several of our pieces in my CC music podcast here.

I hope to add a lot more to CCMixter in 2019. :)
