Thanks, I think it really needs a lot of work to tighten up. I had to play everything live, including the drums, and I’m not a drummer. I tried to impose a time signature and tempo and no matter what it didn’t work. Something magical about human time keeping and yet such a pain in the ass …lol

Hi Jeris—yeah I thought the drums/percussion sounded live and in fact the whole thing is great because it’s so loose and unlike a standard MIDI/DAW thing. It’s a great acapella you worked with and listening to that made me want to jam—always a good sign. Will check your Harvard link—looks intriguing! UPDATE: just read that article—human rhythms are fractals! Amazing! Thanks for sharing.

Yea, another interesting thing to check out is some of Wolfram’s work on fractals. Fascinating how the simplest pattern reiterated millions of times can produce landscapes and insect-like forms.
I also read recently that computer code was found in string theory equations…specific computer code!
There’s also patterns across languages…anyway..I’m babbling ..lol

Thanks so much, yea she has a great voice and style. I think the acoustic bass, piano, and slide really suit her. I bet a violin or cello would be great too.

Thanks man, a new mix is up. I fixed a couple of timing problems that were driving me crazy. I also added more slide guitar, in the first mix I only had them in the first verse and chorus…that didn’t really make sense.
