I’m totally beguiled by this. I love your treatment of the vocal and there’s a dreamy, hallucinatory quality to your b/t that beautifully captures the atmosphere of the garden at dusk and setting your imagination free. Thank you so much for mixing this one.

Hi M, very glad you liked it. The way you described it makes me think i sorta created what i aimed for. Thanks for your pella, it was great fun to get restarted remixing again.

seems you’ve woven snippets of dreams together with the instruments on this excellent upload… a wonderful way to make your way back to ccM, the perfect gift in hand… .

Beautifully poetic soundscape. I like it very much. So much so that, in the same way that Ciggi ‘made you’ do it, I feel like I no longer ‘have to’.

By the way I searched turdus merula and found this - xeno-canto.org
There are over 2000 (15 hours worth) blackbird recordings. I assume there are every other species as well. As far as I can tell the recordings are cc licensed but mostly non-derivatively (can’t use them in a mix), still, an impressive collection that’s fun to explore.

Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment. Then:
1: don’t use me as an excuse for not using Ciggi’s pella
2: i have a few cd recordings of European bird sounds. I would recommend anyone to put a cd like that on every once in a while. It’s very relaxing. :-)
3: thanks for the site, i’ll check it out.

Relaxing, beautiful… I adore the slow, deliberate build of this… This is incredibly dream-like… a dream I’d like to have… maybe do some flying with the blackbirds…

Really nice transitions. I was first lost in the beautiful spaces you left in the music, when I suddenly found myself drifting along a stream of groove and sound. Beautiful work. Bravo!

Great ideas - the rhythm drives me nuts (meant in a positive way).
Great work - without mercy. ;-)

now this is nice. I haven’t visited ccM in, well, in a while; and here you are.
your music always connected with me, and this track is an excellent example of that, simultaneously bringing me way back and being an example of very current music. I’ve missed that.
