Nice work and I prefer this to your “Metro” mix as the piece held together better. The Metro mix felt unfinished to me with the parts sometimes not blending together well.

One thing I must say is that you have come up with some clever stuff in both mixes and I like the direction you’ve taken things in.

Good job

On a magical July night in London in 1980, I saw my first live performance of Mid-Summer Night’s Dream. The Puck was gifted, the sprites sprightly, and Bottom the weaver wove a suitably burlap grandliloquence.

If that evening had had a soundtrack, it might have sounded a great deal like this song.

I like the space in the mix, and it’s easy-going electro-pop sensibility. I love the little keyboard line that chills like the fog descending just before the conceit is ended, and all the players enveloped in love’s just reward.

The little glitch melody is charming, and the sedate but jaunty pacing is entirely appropriate to the piece. I might apply fewer fx to the refrain voices, as the words are harder to make out there.

I might have chosen fewer passages, and then brought them up in the mix, to give them the effect that this mix can create.

I might have used the famous Merchant of Venice piece in a different song—or focused this song around that track.

A fine mix. I enjoyed it.
