I get frustrated when folks use words and phrases incorrectly. When I get frustrated, I write songs. This time, I made a video, too. (Warning: It’s definitely weird and somewhat creepy.)

Most of the music is from nickleus. I cut, pasted, added some extra beats, and added vocals. Thank you for the stems, nickleus!

WORDS:

I could care less.
I couldn’t care less.
Use your brain.
Learn the difference.

It’s spreading.
What’s spreading?
The ignorance.
What?
The incorrect usage.
Huh?
Of a common phrase.
Oh.

It’s spreading.
What’s spreading?
The disrespect.
What?
Of sensical language
Huh?
Of a common phrase.
Oh.

All too often my ears are burned when I hear the use of an incorrect word.
If a person says that they COULD care less
They are saying that they are still capable of LESS caring.
But if a person uses the phrase correctly by using the contraction of the two words COULD and NOT
They successful express in the conversation that they truly do not care.
In summary, I could care less about the way you speak
But I couldn’t care less if you care for me. See?

I couldn’t care less.
I could care less.
Use your brain.
Learn the difference.
