When I was a boy, my grandmother taught at the Cleveland Avenue School. I used to go to this school playground on the weekends when I would go to visit my grandmother. Among the plants were sensitive plants—like little ferns, except their leaves folded up when touched, as one watched. All my life, I have been attracted to sensitive people. This bit of whimsy explores the little gradations that can cause one’s leaves to fold up.
This track was created entirely with the piano sample and percussion sample kindly posed by Ondrej Rosik, to whom I here say “thank you”.
