#ShowUsYourGear
Share a picture or video of your music gear — and an anonymous donor will now give $10 to ccMixter. We love the focus on audio and sound at ccMixter — especially in a time where appearance and glitz have nearly stolen the soul from music. That being said, we’ve loved getting to know some of you a bit more through your recent Music Connects Us tracks — hearing your voices and where you are from has made us all, well, more connected. What if we share visualizations of our creative process, while still focusing on the music? Well, that’s what we’re hoping to do with the #ShowUsYourGear project. And, ccMixter will get support it needs in the process through our creative sharing! How to participate? 1. Upload a picture, screenshot or video of your gear to your social platform of choice (instruments, mixing gear, headphones, speakers, VSTs) . 2. Tag it #ccMixter AND #ShowUsYourGear 3. Tag two other people whose gear you’d like to see (one person on ccM, one outside to spread the word). 4. I love MIDI modules, being a MIDI-programmer by trade. I’m a huge fan of the Wurlitzer Theatre Organs, and found that a rack of MIDI kit is probably the closest to a massive theatre organ that you’re gonna get, sort of an electronic version. I’d like to play a real Wurli!! |

I am trying to post pictures to Facebook (I’m not on other platforms except Twitter and I haven’t used it in so long I forget how). I have tried to tag one picture (think I did it in all lower case)… Can someone get in touch and tell me what I need to do (because I’m confused)?

essesq, you can open an account at Dropbox.com. It places a folder on your desktop and all you have to do is move the picture in there and share it. When you do, it places a link to your clipboard that you can use in the forum. It’s pretty easy and free. Good Luck! =)

I love seeing everyone’s gear.
I just thought I would share a campaign success story. One of my friends who is really just a casual friend and not a particularly close friend, and he is not a member of ccM, just uploaded a photo of his gear on facebook (gorgeous double bass.. . oh my!) and tagged it for the fundraiser. I did not tag him in any of my “show your gear posts” But he jumped in anyway. It makes me happy that we have his support and to see how our efforts are expanding. |

not sure what it is exactly, but looking at these pictures causes me to smile — outside, but moreso, within. your workspace is beautiful with the plants, lamp and pictures on the wall as inspiration. admittedly, i love the dusty closet as much as the tidy desk.
