ccMixter supports liberal licenses and open source. ccMixter’s site platform is built on open source software. We feel a kinship with all who support liberally-licensed culture.
The Linux Action Show is published by Jupiter Broadcasting out of Washington state USA. This show features a discussion of open source issues, and in particular the Linux operating system. It’s got a large viewership and listenership. Chris Fisher and Matt Hartley, the hosts of the Linux Action Show, gave a huge plug to our ccMixter Indiegogo campaign on the October 5 show. Here’s the link: http://www.jupiterbroadcast... They do a nice spot around the 1 hour 27 minute mark. A huge thank you to the Linux Action Show for giving us a shout-out. The episode is a particularly good watch, by the way, because it covers games for linux. If you watch, perhaps you could drop a comment to thank them at the link above for supporting ccMixter for supporting our crowd-fund. Wow, just watched this. What a professionally produced show and the segment on ccMixter was amazing! I felt a sense of pride as they read your letter and went out of their way to even play some of our new video about ccM. Their comments saying they think it is “important” to support Creative Commons music and art instead of “just complaining” about DRM inspired me.
