Next time you change out the gnarly ear cups on your phones ‘cause you’re tired of gettin’ black flecks on yo’ head and stuff… listen to one of your favorite mixes w/out the cups on. That’s the hi’s & mid hi’s you haven’t been EQ’ing out of your own mixes. You get a similar effect listening on cheap desk-top speakers, but ‘sennies sans cups’ are more detailed… . . jes sayin’.

Ummm… what a cool tip! I’ve got a pair doin’ the black flecks thing (not my main pair)… maybe I’ll take it apart and keep them cupless. Thanks!
