We lost power yesterday around 4 in the afternoon, and were in total blackout city-wide for most of the night. Our power came back on early this morning, around 3am.

We had no lights, no internet, just a battery operated radio and some flashlights.

I was planning on mixing last, but instead I jammed out on acoustic instruments with go1dfish and snowflake. And the sky was clear and full of stars behind a 3/4 full moon. Not so bad. Except for the ccMixter jones ;-)

Last time we had a full blackout (the whole east coast went out back in 2003), we cooked mushrooms and green peppers on the Hibachi, and then played guitar by candlelight under the stars that night… with the whole milky way visible.
