Welcome to ccMixter II

if you are a returning ccmixter user then you have probably figured out by now that we’ve had a face lift.

there are a few new features lurking about so take your time to get aquainted with the new site.

this site was re-designed after careful study of how it was being used in its first year. the features no one was using have been pushed to the back and the popular ones have been pulled forward to be (hopefully) easier to find and use.

we’ve also had a lot of feedback on missing features and hopefully we’ve addressed those.

all of your music, reviews and profile information has been moved forward to this new site so all you have to do is log in to the new system and you should be good to go.

if we missed something please please let use know

You might also notice that our URL address sturcture has changed a little. Your personal page is no longer at:

http://ccmixter.org/by/ class="i">loginname

now, it’s at:

http://ccmixter.org/media/p... class="i">loginname

the names of your uploads have also changed (to conform to our new naming convention standards) and so have their locations, so you should update your bookmarks and websites to point to the new names and locations.

however all the old links (should) still work, they will be routed to the new place/name.

(the only exception to this are links to messages in this fourm. if you were pointing to a message from an email or web page you will have to update your bookmarks/links.)

if you do run into any problems feel free to leave a bug report here. Try to remember to include what kind of platform (Windows,Mac) and browser (IE, Firefox, etc.) you are using.

Peace,
Victor

oh … and I really need to make a special thanks to the beta testers, they’ve been working hard for the last few weeks making this a great experience.

It’s all their fault.

Peace,
Victor

It was fun to kick the tires, and now we’re off to who knows where….gotta say thanks! & nice work to everybody who contributed to the technical design, graphic/skin design, coding, testing, etc., etc. for ccMII - y’all made some major leaps forward (flying & otherwise) with this release —Chris
