Hello all.
I’ve been on ccmixter many years, but I just changed my screen name. You may remember me plugging evolutionary music before. Now we are on version 3.0 and it’s better than ever: Evolectronica - survival of the funkiest The major new features are 1. more laid back music making process (listen to it like radio, make occasional ratings) 2. awesome new evolving synth sounds 3. more CPU behind the scenes 4. proper website Creative Commons licensed of course (mp3 and wav loops downloadable) hope you like it! comments welcome cheers, Bob. |

drew hi drew, All audio and site text is BY-NC 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/... the samples I use are either sampling+ http://creativecommons.org/... or BY-NC http://creativecommons.org/... (or just BY of course) I guess I need to check with Silvia O (channel 2) if she doesn’t mind if I start trying to sell t-shirts to offset the (up to four figure per year) hosting fees. |

In a collaboration with Prof Armand Leroi (of Mutants fame) we’re running an experiment with 120 real live people (undergraduate) rating the “fitness” of the loops.
There’s a “channel” for the public too, and you’re welcome to take part. It uses Evolectronica technology, tweaked a bit for the experiment (only sine waves allowed). “What’s the link?”, I hear you cry… http://darwintunes.org Promise not to laugh at my rambling on the youtube video (imagine what it must have been like unedited!). |
