On 3 Feb it will be the 50th anniversary of Buddy Holly’s death.

Buddy was arguably the most influential songwriter of all time as far as rock and roll is concerned and many of the greats have acknowledged this.

I thought it would be a good idea if mixers could upload what they consider to be a Buddy Holly influenced mix in tribute to this great musician.

ok, this is sort of on point but it has a funny backstory which i guess i should tell before sharing the link. a bunch of years ago, me and a couple songfight friends had a little sidefight to see who could come up with the best “dead peggy sue” song. i wrote and recorded “ ps i love you”, which would later be used on “outside the inbox - songs about spam” a CD that our good friend Brad Sucks made before he made his first CD. In fact, his “look and feel years younger” was written for the same project.
