Does anyone know of software that can give you a bpm on midi files? Thanks

MIDI files might encode the original tempo into them or they might not. If there is a tempo there, your DAW should at least let you know what the file’s author encoded into the file. Sorry if that’s not very helpful but if you’re not seeing a tempo it could well be that it isn’t in the file.

if you are new to working with midi files, it may also be worth mentioning that there’s a very significant difference how they handle tempo overall.

Midi files represent everything in note lengths (e.g. quarter notes, eighth notes) and NOT in time (seconds, milliseconds). So they will follow automatically whatever BPM you are setting in your audio software without you having to know what the original BPM was.
