This is so Modest Mousey and I love that about it. You have a way with the guitar that is very skilled and you can make it sound unskilled—like you are making extremely fortuitous mistakes—but I know enough to know that things like that definitely take more care sometimes than the most baroque of arrangements. I absolutely adore what you’ve done with the choruses. Wonderful work, my friend.

Hi Jacinda, am v pleased you like what i have done with your excellent pella, I did the mix all in one sitting and posted it straight away so in one sense its a bit rough round the edges … but sometimes i think the world has too many straight lines .Also thanks for introducing me to Modest Mouse (i hadnt heard their stuff before , but their influences and era fit with a lot of what i was thinking about when i did the mix) … any way thanks again for your great pella

Fantastic track! The wash of guitars and sustained bass are the perfect backdrop for Jacinda’s lovely vocal.

The wall of guitars and muffled percussion reminds me a little of Suzanne Vega on Solitude Standing, which, come to think of it, is a very flattering setting for Jacinda’s pella.

I love this. Really brings me back in time to the English alt-rock scene in the early 90s. Absolutely love the soundscape.

Yet another fan of your guitars here. What can I say? They are just so very tasty!

Yeah there’s a touch of Suzanne Vega. Another Brit-rock style hit from you again, urmymuse. Just a little nit-picking from me though — some parts of the lead guitar sounds like it could be aligned just a bit, to make an already good mix great. Cheers!

Know what? Forget about my nit-picking. Let me give you instead. I’m listening to this from another computer, adjusted the EQ settings, and the whole track just sounds much more solid than when I first heard it. Honestly, I can’t tell a sheep scream from a tube scream :) I just know I like this enough to download it for keeps.
