Fantastic progression and production. Really well done.

Confession - I’m a tad bemused - I drew Snowflake. I’ve just started listening to the Shifting Sun mixes and I’ve already heard three mixes featuring her. The petulant pre-teen in me wants to say “hey, I’m supposed to be doing Snowflake.” (The mature adult in me understands. She’s very popular.)

I totally understand! Maybe the rules of upcoming secret mixters should be changed to “Thou shalt not use other sources than of the assigned mixter…” :)

I think I read once that it should be at least 50% the person you were assigned. That seems fair.

This song is its own Summer folk festival, with each “band” playing with its own distinctive style.

I like the guitars throughout and the post-rock section near the end the best, but each vignette holds its different and fun own, as the bands at cool festivals do.

Thank you! I’ve tried to increase the intensity of the guitars towards the end… Glad you like it! :)

10+ Minutes and not a single moment where I thought “skip forward” so much in here.
I think you have really done a great job here to glue Urmymuse in here.

this is so beautiful. and what an artful journey you’ve shared with us. i love the detail of the arrangement, the combination of such a wide varying degree of source that flows so smoothly through the different sections. and of course, your magnificent guitar playing. you’ve really made urmymuse’s guitar playing shine too. the panning into the middle piano section is so patiently creative. i’m truly honored to be included with this song from many years ago. you’ve given it new life. i can imagine playing this live with all of the players sharing the stage. wouldn’t that be amazing?!?! that prog-rock solo section is f*ckin’ AMAZING. (yes, yes, yes!!) Dude, I’m not worthy of your skills. thank you for this magnificent experiment. wow, the ending - stunning.

Thank you, Emily! For some reason I connected your lyric to the topic of this SM (sun = hot core…) when I first listened to it. After I’ve read the lyric I decided to include Susan’s spoken words so that the remix would be not to too much off topic… :)

It always a pleasure to work with high quality sources like your vocals. I’m very glad you like it. Many thanks for listening! :)
