your beachy chord work & tempo change really breathe new life into this. Caribbean country, who knew? ’s UP!

Just beachy, Panu. When I heard the pell, calypso country beat came to mind. Who’d a thunk it. Glad you like d’morph.

Wrt tempo, it’s the same 123 bpm that you posted. The beach band’s calypso country rhythm gives it some driving forward motion.

Hell, yes, snap!

Spent some more time reconciling the pitch of some more vocal notes with the guitar, and repitching. As I am looping some parts ad nausea, an ever present woman says, “His voice reminds me of some one. We know that vibe.”

Dude, your the troubadour who has filled the vacuum left by Tim Hardin. Such a deal.

Gonna have to dust off my old Tim Hardin record now “:0)

How much of this song is autobiographical?

FYI: Was able to work in couple more lines about country music and bars.

Sometimes low budget works just fine and even better than if it was over produced like I would do lol.

A nice change of pace for you; for some reason, I was thinking we’d get an 18 piece band, but instead, with an understated arrangement of Joni-Mitchell-like chords, you’ve subtly changed Panu’s vocal melody around a bit. Nice and smooth. :)

Yes, a very low budget orchestra.
Joni Mitchell-esque is cool analogy. Hadn’t thought of it. Thanks, AB
Using Newtone, I reshaped Panu’s melody to mo’ better fit with the 4 chords the very low budget orchestra could play. Like going to a fire light jam session on the beach where you can play any song you like as long it uses the same 3 or 4 chords in the key of E, A or B, and the uses the same beat and strum “:0)

Your description makes it sound convoluted but I guess I misread it. It’s not. It goes straight to the heart. Beautifully.

I backed into this remix in unexpected way and applied extensive editing of the voice and guitar. Even the hihats are skewed to the right of their original starting positions.

While the sausage making process may have been convoluted, the sausage is tasty and sincerely offered from the heart as is the intent of Panu’s story.

Dude, Cassandra Wilson is great. Thanks for the reference. Hadn’t heard of her. I like her voice and music, and especially like the accompaniment. Folkaribbean soul music

“New Moon Daughter” is one of the best albums I’ve ever heard. Check that one out.
