I think it should be a rule that all songs start with a cool melodic drone. I love the way the little bits of saxy twinge filter in and out among her vocal bits. The 14/8 track really fits well in this.

I’m in a Costa Rican eco-lodge, in that still part of the morning just after the cicada song dies down and just before the birdsong cranks up. A stillness arises which lends itself to a kind of downtempo mood, not a melancholy but a kind of exuberant reflectiveness, a podcast leading inexorably to sending the listener into a daydream. This is the soundtrack to that mood.
