Weird…most definitely…but hey, at least you got the point of my title :-). This isn’t the easiest of listens but it does make a fair point and it’s idiosyncracies have a strange sense of humor which I appreciate. You beat up my piano playing pretty badly, but I always say better to be beat up than ignored ;-). I am pleased to serve as inspiration for anything at all here on this site. Thanks Speck.

Quote: essesq…it’s idiosyncracies have a strange sense of humor which I appreciate. Thanks for noticing, I like when Kutiman wraps it up by saying pretty much anything can sound good if it’s edited right… I think I edited pretty much everything in a way that would be considered ‘wrong’. I find that humorous. And at the same time I do also consider it an artistic endeavor. (Not necessarily a successful one.) Dada I guess. Quote: essesqYou beat up my piano playing pretty badly…Oh I thought I beat it up pretty well ;-) Hey, thanks for your tolerance. It really is a very nice piece of piano playing.

It’s always with curiousity and interest that I listen to your uploads. You clearly have fun with your pieces, and this, like much of your work has the unique Speck stamp all over it — experimental and very well done.

Delightfully odd. Teetering on some point of atonal madness; but a happy vibe throughout. I love it!

I’m with SackJo. It’s impossible to know in advance what a new piece by you will sound like, especially the “difficult” ones. This time, I smiled when listening. I hope this is an OK reaction. I really think this is very entertaining (in an honest non-ironic way). Speck, the entertainer! I find it difficult to comment more objectively on the music because there are no references to anything else I’ve heard. I just think it’s cool….and entertaining.

Smiling is a wonderful reaction. If I were in an audience listening to this live I’d be smiling throughout and probably laughing out loud at the end. (Not at it, but with it.) So thanks.

When I hear your more experimental pieces I always make a correlation to the visual arts - and place you in the “abstract” department. Your forays into musical abstraction always bear the stamp of a cultured ear - yet not without humor.

I don’t know how you do it, but each component sounds good and they all sound even better together. So satisfying and chewy it made me grind my teeth while I was listening. Best compliment you’ll get today, Speck! xxxx

Great track.

I’m pleased that you picked the same segment from the interview that I did when I worked on it (about the value of live collaboration and this being a different thing).

Great use of the sources. Very strong track.
