He lifts a card from a pack of oracular cards. The card reads:
“segue into the next thought slowly and gently”. So he began to relax each thought, as if it were a tired soldier as it passed through his consiousness. He thought of rapid transit, of a Nabokov novel, of butterflies, of Isabella Rosselini dressed as a preying mantis. Then his mind suddenly went instrumental. A set of subtle beats appeared. Then he heard her voice, and he was lost in a daydream. When the song ended, he slowly reached for another card. Wonderful remix. |

It looks like I’m not the only one who has “oracular cards”. Thank you for the insightful encouragement.

Lovely crisp production, and yes it did take me back to the 90s! Happy times…

yes, they were. music had a different feel in the late 80’s/early 90’s…more upbeat, more focus on the melody. today’s stuff alll sounds the same…boring.

I was listening to “hold me now” by the thompson twins on spotify yesterday (I think the tape I had as a kid would not sound so great any more).
The production on that is out of this world - especially the beginning. (PS still enjoying this (lies in the dark, not t twins)) |
