Incredibly well balanced and produced. Nice build. Love the treatment on Mykle’s voice. Love the crackles. Thks for the prezzie.

Thanks! - I’m a big fan of the glitchy, crunchy, vinyl effect so love anything layered on a bed of crackles. Cheers for the continued support!

Excellent mix, Scott. I love the way it builds so passionately and yet maintains an atmosphere of quiet sadness. xxxx

Ciggi! - Thanks, I tried to maintain a sadness throughout, even during the build. Thanks for noticing

well played. love the vocal effecting going from lo to hi fi in the build up. You really frame Mykle’s vocals and enhance them without overpowering them.

.
Well spotted. It added to the crunchy, vinyl vybe at the beginning to introduce a bit crunched, vocal, but then as richer sounds entered, the bit crunch didn’t sound so good, so i cross faded 2 tracked, one crunchy, one clean. Cheers!

The more or less beatless approach supports the vocals in a very good way. It’s quite different to my remix and I like how you did it.

Yeah, I heard your remix just as I posted mine, great to hear how we interpret things differently. It’s what I love about making music in a community like this, with the same material.

The crystal coolness of the bt contrasts splendidly with the warmth of Mykle’s voice — the emotional harmonization is just lovely.

Whoa.
I haven’t been around here for a while, so it’s really nice that this track is one of the first I listen to. Build-up is just stellar - for instance how you sneak in Mykle’s voice from sort of lo-fi speaker to being fully present. Seriously. This is just fantastic. Thanks for this little gift. |

Morning Skipper.
Thanks for the listen. Glad this was your first track if you’d not been around for a while. There’s lots of quality on this site, so great that I got in there first! Well spotted on the lo to hi on the vox. It sounded right to bit crunch the vox at the beginning to add to the vinyl vybe. Gearing up for the new years party over here in Amsterdam right now… Have a good one! |
