i am honored. thank you for this amazing mix. i love the sections you decided to loop ‘every mortal born of egypt’ and then the hoppin groove. then the chorus. damn. this is excellent. such a journey, right in the pocket. sexy, hot groove. changes in all the right places with perfect transition. rock on.

Glad you liked the end result. Quite an honour infact since I used to listen to and love (and download) your music back in the old mp3.com days before it went all commercially focused and filled up with signed acts leaving the unsigned talent out in the cold. Around 1998/9ish.
On an related-ish note, I used to be good friends with a band called guardians of the earth back then on mp3.com, who’s singer was Jes (who’s recently recorded with BT… my absolute hero of a producer)… …Scotts now in a day dream reminiscing of what used to be and why he never went as far… Anyway, thank you, your comments, they are much appreciated. |

yes, MP3.com from 1998-2001 was revolutionary. then MR and Vivendi made some choices that ruined the experience for indie musicians. when I was President of MP3tunes, we sponsored BT’s tour with Deviant Art and I was honored to be part of it. Would love to learn more about Jes - in LA or SoCal by chance?
Peace :D |

Now, that’s a very powerful and catchy tune. Dance anthem luxury extravaganza if you ask me.

Hey you. You surprised the heck out of me with this one. Love the BT - excellent sound design and great beat. Great 1985 sort of sound design for the synths and beat but with a very modern production. Nice.
To my taste the pella isn’t the best fit though (and I otherwise really like Emily’s vocals). I wonder what it would sound like with a non-traditional match, like a jazzy vocal. Either way - kick-ass track. Nice one. |

Alright boss.
My feeling is that the power in the vocal certainly fits the drive of the track but certainly appreciate an external view (hell I’m in my own head most days, so a view from an differential angle is certainly valuable). Glad you like the beats and sounds though… Always a treat to hear the opinions of other masterful music makers. Good point about the ‘85 vibe also… |

No, man; don’t listen to me. I barely remember what I was thinking when I wrote this review, but chances are I’d had a few too many pints of Stella.
It’s possible that my point could have been this: I’m drawn to things that have contrasting elements, such as this one (slow and tender-ish vocals, nicely-paced BT). |

Epic, Scott, and tightly packed with so many delicious elements. Punchy yet stylish. What a guy! I sympathise with you going back to work but, on the bright side, it’s a 3 day week. Have a glass of wine. Happy New Year. xxxx
