The piano and the synth creates a very good dramatic feel to the song, Scomber. It sounds like a very good last song on an album, even the last song in a rock opera by the Who. (it’s a compliment)

Thanks per, I was a little worried that there was to much happening, but I’ll take the who anyday

You always impress me Scomber! The synth has a decidedly retro feel, so that I can see the shapley girls dancing around in tight legging with, among other things, big hair!

Hey Susan, it’s not retro- I’m stuck in the 70’s. Thanks for the review x

Opera rock, symphonic rock. EL&P touch with the synth. I like.

Thanks, glad you liked the synth, nothing like a big monophonic with the other hand glued to the pitch bend. Cheers!

That’s the word they used on my police charge sheet: “flashing”.
Thanks Anchor for your kind words

Cheers Duckett, any extra experimental mutation on top of an existing one has to be a good thing. Love this place, it’s so cool. Had a really good chance to listen to some of your older stuff but refrained from hitting the recomend button in the fear of tipping you off that I was your sm. Thanks mate for the wild ride

i agree. the SM seems to be a powerful force, silently pushing our musicianship. i don’t understand it fully, but i *feel* this power and am a bit awe struck frankly. your contribution to that energy is certainly felt!!!!

Amongst your many remixing successes, this one speaks to me in a special way. Hints of prog rock. Memories of Moog. Come to think of it, the very first album I ever bought with my own money was from ELP (pics of an exhibition). Most excellent remix!

Thanks Spin, the good thing about prog rock is that you can make it up as you go and no one twiggs. I’m with you on the moog; hours of fun - the solo originally went for 20 mins, so I had to cut it down in the fear of frightening the children :-/
