Beautifully simple and honest presentation…felt like I was right there with Miss Narva9 while she sang to us around the campfire…all warm and fuzzy…Your guitar and harmonica accompaniment just perfect…

really nice. There was another mix a while back that used a crackling fire and after a while for me it gets distracting maybe a fade out and back in the end might have worked while still keeping the setting.
I like a lot what you do with the Narva pells though |

You and Narva are like the better, less toxic Tm Waits and Rickie Lee. I agree with LS regarding the crackling, but I also like the reminder that the listener could be outside if they weren’t really connected to a computer and wearing a set of electronic earmuffs.

You always have a fine ear for n9’s material, and this is no exception- very nice.
Regarding LS’s review, I’m betting he was thinking of my “Gurdonark’s Fireplace” mix, I ended up uploading a “crackle-free version” to address that ;-) |

Whoa cowbaby? Who’d of thunk. It’s absolutely awesome. You must have a mind ray or something cause you always read my mind and make it sound like its supposed to sound…..it’s crazy especially since it never sounds like I thought it would sound (your version usually sounds muuuuch more awesome)
I love the “live” recording feel (complete with audience). Thanks again! n9 PS - cowbaby = veal? |

It’s OK I thought it was funny too.
BTW I’ve put together a playlist here of all my mixes of your pellas under the title (of course) “Even Cowgirls Get the Blues”. I re-remixed “I wonder what I’ll do today” because -I hope - I’ve learnt a couple of things since those days! Be glad to know what you think… |

Don’t like the background sounds as they remind me too much of the times I spent in folk clubs trying to get over a masterpiece of musical entertainment only to find the subtleties of the piece interupted by shuffling, mumbling and beer slurping!!
Apart from that I congratulate you on a lovely production and a great sounding guitar. |

the guitar accompaniment works perfectly here with the vocal track. i don’t mind the campfire much, although it could probably come down in volume a bit to make it less distracting. But you’ve really put together something very nice here, and show you don’t need alot of tracks to create something magical.
