During my first listen, I was struck by how much this mix reminded me of Brian Eno’s work. Then your description of how you “stumbled” onto the main (repeated) idea sounded like something one might find in Eno’s Oblique Strategies. Your creative process is rubbing elbows with some of electronic music’s giants—and the proof is in the pudding!

Thanks! Now if I just could channel and enforce this process… :)

Awesome trip hop! The bitcrushed bass hit seals the deal for the critical illness :)
Interesting choice for the repeated phrase, both because the melody being sung is Quiana Nadine’s, and it immediately reminds me of the film Whiplash — there is a moment where JK Simmons’ character says “not my tempo” …
(I’d add a link, but it’s so NSFW ;)

Looked up the scene. It’s indeed intense. :)

When I was nearly done with the remix I dug through your sources and found out, that Quiana Nadine’s vocals are really great.

There is so much music to be made and so little time.

Maybe I’ll make another remix without the hotel story part. Together with your acid bassline it made the song quite experimental. But I needed both of them. At least for now. :)

“There is so much music to be made and so little time.”

That is the story of my life, lol :)

I love how the music captures the quality of realizing the the melody isn’t mine. A little ghostly with enough tension to keep me hooked but also vigilant. Thanks for including me, bravo and happy new year!

Thanks! Was a pleasure to play with your vocals - as always. :) Happy new year to you, too!
