Very funky and fun! Very dry. Like the weather. Talking about the weather is either the easy way out of making effort in a conversation or the conversation about climate change and weather is immediate and necessary.

Absolutely! Yep, there’s a… juxtaposition in talking about the weather. Mind-numbingly boring or life-changingly vital. I love juxtapositions (and the word itself).

Also, thank you for taking a listen and for your kind words!

Kara, this is so much fun to listen to it.
1st listen was for enjoyment. And I would play this in a playlist right after the B52s.
2nd listen was for digging what you did here (a bit more technical)….and you astound me as always. The bass synth is so cool and your background singing…so nice…the drums must have taken hours and hours.
Everything is soo cool and so much fun to listen to.

If I had a nickle for every time a mix of mine was associated with the B52s… 😉

Thank you, thank you for all of your kind words and observations, Heiko. Truth be told, the drums weren’t too hard to work on… I started with a handful of great loops, cut them up and then added some other loop layers (shakers, cymbals)… I lucked out with the backup vocals… I actually had a cold and managed to record those between coughing!

Anyway, thanks again!

One quality you and ScOmBer share, in my view, is IMMEDIACY. You both have an ineffable way of sounding very “right here, right now”; I don’t know how else quite to describe it. That, and a lovely wry playfulness. In any case, this remix is a showcase of this.. insert clever, positive meteorological reference here!

Hey duckett! Ummm… thank you! Those are some cool descriptions… I appreciate it!
