So true, you are holding up a mirror to my own father as he ages, all I see is a foginess, where you see with such clarity. Thank you for helping me start to see. I still aspire to your level of understanding, even though it dismays me too.

It’s hard. Writing this was a way for me to step out of the situation and try to understand. The truth is that I’m not always clear. Sometimes everything is just so raw. But I try. I heard this days ago but quite frankly. needed some space to sit with the sentiment. It brought tears to my eyes — you communicated the experience beautifully.

Guess what? It was hard to record this, edit it… it made for a tough, sad day. I had been working on these words for weeks and couldn’t quite get myself to go there until the day I posted. Sometimes things seem even more real when recorded, you know?
