Couldn’t agree more, not a winter person myself.
The song is exellent and totally hip, had me foot stompin’ from the start, the rap is tight and the production feels very “mastered for Itunes”(it’s a compliment) and above all, you’re a lyrical genius. Many, many, many :s |
.
***High Five!*** Winter stinks!
Thanks for all your kind words, Per. It’s really nice to hear the bit about the lyrics… this is one of those songs that didn’t come together naturally. I actually researched and made a long list of reasons why snow sucks and used it to write the rap. Fun fact, I guess. :) |

The hard work resulted in a very enjoyable piece of music. I love the piano and the trumpet and must admit to have spent a closer listen to the bass after reading your description.
Very well done… |
.
I’m so glad to hear that! Props go to smilingcynic for the piano and trumpet. :) The little bass is a ton of fun to play. Here’s what it is if you’re curious. It’s the size of a baritone ukulele. It’s easier for me to play than a regular bass… less space between the frets. Thanks again!

I love angry, pissed off songs and this is so clever and funny and as cool as … snow (which messes up one’s hair as well. Unforgivable). Your delivery and the lyrics are brilliant. I just love it, that’s all.
|
.
Ahhhh… I’m so glad you said “funny” because that was certainly intended. You’re so right about snow being detrimental to hair, too… missed that one! If you throw on a hat- smashed hair! If you don’t cover up- frizz head! (That’s what mine does anyway…) Another damn, catch-22. Thank you for listening, dear Ciggi. I’m so happy you like. :D

Seriously funny rap/hip-hop about something so mundane and natural. I like it. (I also like snow though.) Reminds me of this one.
|
.
Thank ya’, Speck. So… you’re one of those, eh? ;) Truth be told, I do find it beautiful. I actually had a verse about that and how sometimes snow emergencies make going to work illegal… so that’s pretty cool. That verse had to be cut, of course. Gotta stay hard-core.
Awesome that you mentioned that song. Are you familiar with Bitch and Animal in general? They were a major influence when I was writing that first TSAN album. They put on a crazy-fun live show. Broke up, but still do solo music. This album is hilarious (and a warning: explicit). |
|
.
Well I am from Michigan, where you either like snow or you move to Florida.
Came to Bitch and Animal through my damn near adoration of Ani DiFranco. Croquet was the first thing I heard from them. Remains a favorite to this day, but I haven’t really looked any further. (‘Cause how could anything else be as good?) Now I will check out that album. Thanks for the nudge. |
|
.
Ahhh… Ani DiFranco. She competes with Joni Mitchell for the #1 inspiration spot. Cool, cool, cool. I think you’ll enjoy B&A. Their solo stuff is fun, too- but they were magical together.

I like the image of “fighting with this song”, it happens, those words are well-aimed :D. I have to say for my part that you’ve won, indeed you are the champion!. I enjoyed listening to the song and follow the steps that are followed with great skill on your part ( Vocals , bass, all ), I also like the sound. really good!
|
.
Rarrr! The champion! ;) I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed this. Thank you for all your kind words!

Very catchy arrangement! I like the sound of the ubass. Congrats Kara for your innate musical skills - amazing |

:D Thank you, dear DICE! I’m very happy you like!
I think you’d enjoy playing the ubass… it’s a ton of fun and really rather easy to play. I’ve been walking around the house with it the last couple weeks. :))) |

Just excellent,
no more words. Falled in love with this piece. (edit: sorry for the little play button, i’ve been agressive with it, may be 7-8 times , i will never do it , just to re-listen the début with the piano and “singing” together) A piece of art. |
.
Thank you for your kind words! I truly appreciate it.
Poor lil’ play button… ;) |
