Wow! A surprise indeed and a lovely one. This is so sinuous, subtle and sexy, MMV. Perfect late night listening with a cointreau. Many, many thanks. xxxx

Merci chere amie :) I’m very proud you find it sexy! This was just inspired by your sensual and soulful vocal. It’s your talent that makes my music shines ;o)

Wonder if I can describe the sound of the saxophone as “sweet”? OK, just did. You’ve brought out that sultry and soul-try quality in Ms CiggiBurn’s vocals. I would have opted for a little less Flange/ Chorus effect, but that’s just me. Doesn’t make the track any less well done.

Thanks Ivan. I’m happy that you liked the tenor sax as it’s a free soundfont I used here.

This is a real delight. A silky and laid back jazz track that rises in complexity above simple lounge music: the muted trumpet is heavenly.
I wish I hadn’t lost my iPod. This would definitely go on it! |
.
Till the day you find your ipod, you can add maybe some of your sweet guitar licks on the song ;o) Thanks!!

Very interesting, M. Sounds like Miles Davis meets Ciggi Burns.

Already mentioned, your drums sound very, very good, really excellent
I guess, like Ivan, that there’s too much digital effect on the vocals. Nevertheless great jazz atmosphere! |
.
glad you liked it :) I wanted a kind of contrats between the ‘natural’ sounding of the instrument and the vocal. In fact the vocal is chorused (that’s why it seems flangered) and it uses a different reverb.

Chill downtempo jazz - love it! For me the trumpet is more interesting than the sax, what did you use?
|
.
Thanks! The trumpet is a commercial vst (liquid instruments) and from which I used some soloing lines, that’s why it sounded better :)
The sax is a free soundfont and I wroted all the notes. |
