this is nasty! the combination of clarance’s distinctive rap and tapsa’s guitar work fits like a glove. cool bad brains feel to this. i almost wish clarance’s rap was just a smidge louder in the mix so it didn’t seem to be competing with tapsa’s riffs for my attention, but great concept and execution.

actually, i was thinking the same thing about the vocals, i’m going to tweak clarance’s volume up just a bit

Great work Lo tag!
You do wonders with slicing and dicing samples. Im no rap expert, but sounds good indeed. (maybe i should try remixing some rap pellas?) ;)
Err…What does VU stand for? Sounds nice tho..

cheers, and thanks for uploading them, they’re awesome samples

VU = Velvet Underground (from me that’s a compliment)

Blanco, I am NOT worthy!

At first, I was going to say that I didn’t think the vocals were synched up well, but I sat and listened to it a few times, and I really dig it.

I am listening to this track and I caught myself wondering if I recorded this with a band or alone in a studio. I love the lo-fi feel, high energy you injected into the track. It sounds like I recorded this track on some Rage Against The Machine-ish.

The hook is crazy, the wailing guitars in the hook and the outro are bananas.

I don’t know VU enough to comment on them, but I remember checking out some of their records when ATCQ sampled them, and I think I know what you mean.

As you can tell I tend to ramble, (I was an Engish major, which is why I have so much free time on my hands) but I respect this track, you took your time with it, and you arranged all those samples in a way that sounds like a live band backed this track.

You did your thing on this track, this is some bad-ass ish.

Man, I gotta write some new lyrics, y’all are getting me amped…..

grazie, your track was perfect for this

i didn’t want to align the vocals perfectly, because i thought it would sound funny in this type of mix… this is more of a free form thrash-fest

i was going to up the volume slightly on your vocals… i’m still playing with that, may upload today

you keep writing, i’ll keep mixing
