Flippin’ yeah! Love how the beats speed up… The guitar just rocks it… The bass is super solid and driving… The vocals are great fun, too (esp. that laugh!)! Man, I’m lovin’ this. p.s. Your bass line in snowflake’s “The End” was just incredible… thank you!

Big progressive rock feel to this one.
Its like one of the big YES medley’s that just seem to keep going!
“The tide has long since risen above the bass drum yet the band keeps playing unperturbed”
Nice!

This was two rough mixes that blended into one. The path on this mix went in many different directions…and the fun was in the discovery of how to bring all together somehow. waves were in the back of my mind the whole time, which helped! Thanks for the comparison to YES!

Some really well thought out guitar work. I like all of the parts, the tremolo chords and rock-out leads. And I totally dig the modern take on surf rock, mixed with heavy shades of prog-rock. And the out of nowhere violin… I dig that too. :)

I built the melodies with Abstract’s samples, pitch shifted to create a framework, and then built a wall of guitars on it. I’ll upload the framework and stems soon for reference/future use.

I realized recording this how lazy my fingers have gotten, my chops are a bit sloppy, but, hey, it adds to the wavy watery feel, right? lol

Thanks AB, your comments mean a lot.

Well this takes surfing to a new level! I dig the heaviness of the second and then back to calm as you hit the shore! Well done.

Godd*** Jason I love this!!!!

Thank you so much for making this great remix. As allways I love your guitar work, unfurtunally I’m listening on crappy laptop speakers so I’m missing the bassline :( The vocals are perfect for this, love the laugh

Makes me want to do collab in this genre :)

YeaH! glad you like it!

It’s needs to be AA-ified with a good mastering session ;-) I was scared a bit because your mixes are so nicely produced.

the bass eq is off i think, not cutting properly, not enough of it perhaps?

That would awesome to do a colab around surf prog

I had fun all in all, so thanks for the inspiration!

This makes me want to get up and break stuff. It’s a surf metal spy movie. Please excuse the attempt at genrefication (is that a word?). Groovy guitar man. I need a few minutes to recover.
