Very nice. Fun and educational to listen and compare with the original. Seems like the main difference is attitude, shifting it to the rock end of the pop-rock spectrum. Much enjoyed.

Unfortunately the Club this would be played in Munich has closed its doors 3 months ago (Atomic Café). I would have loved to dance there to this indie rock.
Excellent guitar work, crystal clear production.
And very intelligently build.
Cowbells Cowbells. And what a swish at the end!

Haha, what a weird coincidence, Siobhan. I´ve spent many nights in this club. Especially when it opened and the Sporties were bartenders. Thats because I live in Munich too. Anyway: Thanks for liking and welcome to ccmixter!!!

Your version is not better or worse just a different beast all together. I think it’s lacking nothing. It has a very raw indie rock feel as opposed to the spaced out Electronic Synthpop vibe the original has.

I think this is more accessible to a wider audience that would also like bands like weezer.

You’re mostly right: just a few thousand km more west: Vancouver, British Columbia.

Just watched the impressive cowbelt video you linked to! Very avantgarde, very nice and subliminal perverse. Wish I was a mummy too.
